About the Role
The Touring Manager position at War Zone Music is an exciting and highly motivating opportunity for the right individual. The Touring Manager is responsible for coordinating, managing, and overseeing the tour-related activities of War Zone Music's recording artists. The Touring Manager will be responsible for creating a comprehensive tour strategy for both domestic and international tours. This role requires highly organized and strategic thinking, as well as a keen eye for detail and creative problem-solving.
The Touring Manager will be expected to lead the tour strategy and execution for War Zone Music's artists, which includes creating tour schedules and budgets, booking venues and travel arrangements, and liaising with promoters and other stakeholders. The Touring Manager must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as they will be the point of contact for all tour-related activities. The Touring Manager will also be expected to create and update promotional materials and ensure the tours are running smoothly and efficiently. Requirements
(Not required but increase hire likeliness) Bachelor’s degree in the music business, business administration, or a related field
(Not required but increase hire likeliness) 3-5 years of experience in the music industry with a focus on artist touring
Extensive understanding of the music industry, including current and emerging trends
(Not required but increase hire likeliness) Proven track record of success in artist touring and developing national touring strategies
Ability to effectively manage and coordinate tour staff, artists, and crew
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to manage budgets and ensure fiscal responsibility
Ability to negotiate contracts and secure competitive deals
Knowledge of current technologies and industry-standard software
Knowledge of venues and promoters throughout the US
Ability to travel regularly for tour dates and promotional events
